Stipel stands for Stichting Persoonscertificatie Energietechniek. The foundation's aim is to create a uniform system for offering exams in electrical and gas technology. Some 40,000 professionals in the Netherlands have one or more Stipel certificates. Stipel has a central register, which has recently been linked to the Digital Safety Passport (DSP) and its app.

Fragmentation
Thanks to the link, certificates from the register will automatically appear in the DSP holder's app. Mark Polman of Stipel explains this step: "We think it's important that the Stipel certificate is always available in an up-to-date and verified form for both the certificate holder and the client. We have therefore chosen to join the Digital Safety Passport. This prevents fragmentation of apps and cards, because our sector has a large supply of education and training courses. Moreover, from a business perspective it is more convenient to join an accepted initiative'.  Certificates issued by DNV and KIWA are included in the Stipel register. The certificates of other certifying bodies are expected to follow this year.

Information hub
The Digital Safety Passport is increasingly developing into a reliable information hub. More than 450 courses from official registers are now automatically assigned to the right person. In addition to the Stipel register, the Central Diploma Register, the Certificate Register of the Industrial Cleaning Foundation, the Deltalinqs Examination Register, the Generic Gate Instruction and the TCVT-RA register are also linked to the Digital Safety Passport. Thanks to the app, DSP holders can easily and safely demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
