The Kloosterboer location in Vlissingen is one of the largest cooling and freezing terminals in the Netherlands and Europe. The location has a cooling and freezing capacity of 1,700,000 m3 and the container terminal has a storage capacity of 5600 TEU including 800 reefer plugs. Due to its location, the terminal is an ISPS location. This international directive obliges seaports to register every person who enters the site. With hundreds of visitors a day, it is of great importance to organize this process in a safe, smart and privacy-proof manner.

From 24 May 2019 drivers will therefore only have access to the container terminal and the empty depot with a valid CargoCard. For Kloosterboer, this means that ISPS compliance is guaranteed and at the same time, carriers save up to 60% on extra parking, getting in and out and unnecessary waiting at the desk for registration and identification. Moreover, ID documents no longer need to be submitted or scanned at the port.

How does it work?
The transport company receives an order (booking) from its client.
Via the Kloosterboer Container Portal or the Container App, the transport planner books a "time slot" for loading and / or unloading containers. This requires data from the container and possibly from the truck driver. After booking, the system will send an automatic confirmation with a unique TAR (Truck Appointment Registration) and Gate number.

On the chosen day and time, the driver reports to the relevant gate with the TAR number. The driver then shows his CargoCard in the column and after approval a ticket is presented showing the parking location.
The driver then has access to the terminal.

Upon arrival at the location, the driver is automatically loaded or unloaded.
